does fidelity home warranty cover plumbing

My entire HVAC system has not had any malfunctions whatsoever prior to the motor breakdown on 5/16/18. This was definitively an acute and sudden breakdown that falls under the contractual coverage of my home warranty. Finally, I got approval again after hours on hold to have the first company back, and they are only covering about 2/3 of the cost, based on a clause in the contract that applies to refrigerators, not HVAC. I'll be filing complaints with BBB and our state Attorney General's office for consumer affairs, and considering a small claims action to recover the cost they refused to pay. Avoid these guys. Their market is real estate agents, who use this to sell clients as protection for their new home.

They don't think about what insurance does and does not cover. Most insurance policies only cover issues relating to damage to the home. Those living in the Midwest often experience harsh winters that can cause pipes to freeze and bust inside the walls. An insurance company will pay for a repairman to come to the house and fix the problem without thinking about the other factors of the case. A broken pipe can cause water damage to the walls, lead to mold developing on the carpets and cause additional damage. A home warranty policy can cover the cost of all repairs needed on the home.

Therefore, we would just let purchasing send the parts from wherever they chose, without overnight shipping. We tried offering the service to customers of picking up the parts locally for extra $ but that is a no no and just made everyone angry. So, everyone just had to wait. There was little or no more money coming from the repair after the service fee is collected from the customer. You might ask why we worked for them.
